We're on a mission for an equal future

At Tech She Can, we believe technology should be for everyone.

As a UK charity, we’re focused on tackling social mobility and opening doors to technology careers for both girls and boys - especially those who need us most. We bring tech careers to life through free, inspiring, educational experiences and resources, designed by teachers, for teachers.

Our expert team works with schools, industry, and government to bridge the gap between education and the world of tech. Backed by evidence-based research, we know what works - and we’re ready to scale.

Together, we’re raising aspirations and shaping a diverse tech future.

What we do

Free educational schools resources and experiences

Our inclusive, free resources are designed for, and delivered to, girls and boys from age 5 to 18 years. Our understanding of the education system, skill at engaging children and designing relevant learning journeys, school and teacher networks, and trust are critical.

Our interventions are future-focused, industry-relevant, inclusive, cross-curricular and mapped to Curriculum objectives and Gatsby benchmarked, packed full of relatable industry role models and responding to the current and future needs of business.

Tech We Can is our collection of free schools; educational material and experiences that are designed to excite, inspire and upskill everyone - and we prioritse those who need us the most. These resources and experiences are all made possible by our industry partners who we collaborate with to bespokely create a tangible intervention.

How we do it

We’re closing the ‘inspiration’ and aspiration gaps’ from primary and throughout secondary school, so that more children (particularly girls and those from disadvantaged backgrounds) understand the careers that exist in technology and, crucially, believe that they could belong. Today 65% of children will do jobs that don’t currently exist, and will be reliant on technology skills that we are not teaching them. The current tech role models, pathways and opportunities are invisible to children. Girls and those from low socio-economic backgrounds are particularly uninspired, or excluded.

Thanks to the support of our partners and funders, we’re able to offer all our experiences and resources completely free to schools - so every child, no matter their background, can explore the world of technology.

Together, we’re raising aspirations and unlocking opportunities, reaching the pupils who need it most.

Influencing change

We’re racing to keep up with demand from schools for modern, inclusive, industry-relevant tech careers experiences, e.g. often delivering live lessons to +60k children across the UK in a single day. With the government’s commitment to more hands-on learning by 2030, the need for action is greater than ever. Last year we launched our Manifesto for Generational Change - a bold call to ensure every young person has access to inspiring tech education and real-world experiences.

We’ve reached 800,000+ children globally in our first three years - but there is so much more to do, and are working to scale.

Together we can change the ratio
