What we do
WE inspire children, especially girls, to pursue tech careers, aiming to tackle gender imbalances and bridge the skills gap in technology. By reaching all children, we reshape perceptions of tech careers and empower them to envision themselves in these roles, vital for addressing societal challenges like climate change and healthcare.
How we do it
Tech She Can excels at bridging the industry-education gap by leveraging our deep understanding of schools and employing skilled educators. We engage children effectively with inspiring tech career insights. Our approach brings STEM subjects to life, connects passions with technology, and showcases diverse role models. Operating nationally with a strong focus on social mobility “cold spots”, we start at age 5 to counter gender stereotypes and continue through secondary school. Our efforts intersect education, industry, and policy realms.
Examples of our award-winning interventions include:
- Engaging Animations: We use custom animations featuring characters like "Katie and Tex" to make complex tech ideas fun and easy to understand.
- Live Lessons: Our team delivers inspiring lessons to thousands of children simultaneously, showcasing the human side of technology and flipping careers education to start with children's everyday experiences.
- Career Insight Days: Partnering with us opens doors for schools in disadvantaged areas, offering immersive experiences and guidance in diverse sectors right before pivotal moments like GCSE subject selections.

Our interventions are proven to be effective:
- Indirectly reached around 450,000 children across the UK since March 2022, with a focus on nationwide social mobility cold spots.
- Directly engaged over 108,000 children.
- Hosted large-scale events like Live Lessons for Safer Internet Day 2024, attended by 40,000 students, with high ratings for student enjoyment (91%) and increased awareness of tech careers (98%).
